Rats are already pretty dangerous, but when they explode? You’re in a whole ‘nother league, my friend. Astra: Knights of Veda is a new 2D side-scrolling RPG on mobile, and it brings some classic flair with a modern twist.

If you’re already used to run-of-the-mill combat on mobile RPGs, Astra: Knights of Veda won’t leave you feeling like it’s just more of the same. The combat system is intuitive, but it also includes an AFK mode if that’s more your style of adventuring.

Beyond the explosive vermin, you’ll also battle the undead and monsters on your way through the story mode. You can mix and match your gameplay by summoning different knights as you build your ideal party.

What can you do with that party, you might ask? Bring it through the Tower of Trials or the Adventure Zone, not to mention the various side quests available right at launch.

Astra: Knights of Veda also features a story mode with a simple plot: gather Veda’s fragments and free the kingdom from the Mad King.

While this is a mobile-first game available on both Google Play and the App Store, it’s also available on Steam. They’ve already begun adding new knights for you to summon into your matches.

There’s been plenty of buzz on Reddit since its beta window, and with ongoing support looking bright, Astra: Knights of Veda gives you plenty of reasons to give it a try.
